Als Senior Linux Systemadministrator * betreust Du unsere Teams und unterstützt die Entwicklung unserer internen IT-Systeme und Services.

Deine Aufgaben

• Optimierung, Erweiterung, Überwachung, Aktualisierung und Wartung unserer internen IT-Systeme und Services inkl. Server- und Cloud-Infrastruktur
• Planung und Umsetzung von Service Setups mit Ansible. Dies umfasst das Konzipieren von neuen Services als auch das Überarbeiten von Bestehenden, durch eigenständige Analyse des Ist-Zustandes und die Implementierung bis hin zum Betrieb
• Ansprechperson für die Provisionierung, Installation und Fehlerbehebung von Server- und Cloud-Diensten sowie weitere  interne Dienste für alle Teams (Mailserver, Fileserver, Kubernetes, Telefonanlage, JIRA, Confluence, OTRS etc.)
• Erstellung von Scripten (Python, Bash) für die Optimierung, Automatisierung und Erweiterung von Services, Applikationen und Prozessen
• Administration von Desktop Betriebssystemen (Linux, Windows und macOS) und Programminstallationen über Software-Deployment Systeme, außerdem 1st-, 2nd- und 3rd-Level-Helpdesk-Support für unsere Teammitglieder
• Sicherheitsrisiken analysieren und adressieren (IT-Security)

Das solltest Du unbedingt mitbringen

• Abgeschlossenes IT- bzw. Informatikstudium oder vergleichbare Berufsausbildung (z.B. Fachinformatiker* Systemintegration)
• Mehr als fünf Jahre Berufserfahrung als Systemadministrator* mitLinux-Betriebssystemen (vorzugsweise Red Hat/CentOS/Rocky und Debian/Ubuntu)
• Umfangreiche Kenntnisse in der Automatisierung und Orchestrierung mit Konfigurationsmanagement-Tools (vorzugsweise Ansible) und Erfahrung mit Monitoring-Tools (Checkmk, Nagios/Icinga, ELK-Stack, etc.)
• Fundierte Scripting-Erfahrung mit Python und Bash
• Erfahrung im Betrieb von 24/7-Produktivumgebungen sowie in der Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Strategien für hochverfügbare interne Dienste
• Fließende Deutschkenntnisse sowie erweiterte Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache

Idealerweise bringst Du noch mit

• Sehr gutes Verständnis von Virtualisierungstechnologien (bspw. XEN, KVM, HyperV) und Containern (Docker, Kubernetes o.ä.)
• Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Cloud-Technologien (wie AWS, GCP etc.)
• Erfahrungen mit Directory Services (Entra, AD/LDAP) sowie RDBMS (PostgreSQL und/oder MySQL) und Web- und Proxyservern (Apache, nginx oder HAProxy)
• Sicher Umgang mit Netzwerktechnologien (DHCP, DNS, IPsec etc.) sowie Konfiguration von Netzwerk-Hardware (VLAN, Routing etc.)
• Erfahrung mit Software-Deployment-Systemen wie z.B. Jamf oder ninjaOne

Senior 2D Animator (Unity) - Character & Asset Specialist *

We are seeking an experienced Senior 2D Animator (f/m/d*) to drive the development of captivating animations for our mobile and casual social games. As a senior member of our team, you’ll collaborate with passionate artists, game designers, and developers to establish the process and style of animating our characters and assets. Your  role is pivotal in bringing our stunning art to life in new, dynamic ways and ensuring that animations align with our games’ creative vision as well as our players' behaviors and preferences.

Your tasks

• Lead the creation of character and asset animations directly in Unity, utilizing the animator and timeline
• Design and execute high-quality animations that enhance gameplay, ensuring they are fluid and visually appealing
• Mentor and guide  other artists, providing feedback and fostering growth within the team
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand player behavior, adapting animations to suit user preferences and feedback
• Develop, document, and refine animation guidelines, establishing a cohesive and recognizable style for GameDuell’s future projects
• Create storyboards and animatics to visualize animation flows before production, setting the standard for quality
• Oversee the animation pipeline, ensuring seamless integration of animations with the game’s technical and creative requirements
• Take ownership of animation quality across projects, conducting reviews and implementing improvements where necessary

What we expect

• 5+ years of professional experience in 2D animation, with a focus on character and asset animation for games
• Very high expertise in animating within Unity using the animator and timeline plus other industry standard software, such as Spine, Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony or Blender
• A robust portfolio showcasing advanced skills in animating characters, objects, effects, and environments
• Expert knowledge with rigging, bones and meshes
• Experience with storyboarding, layout design, and communicating complex movement ideas visually
• Familiarity with industry-standard graphic design tools, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and the full Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and drive creative initiatives

A plus:

• Experience in UI design, including creating screen layouts in Photoshop and implementing them within Unity
• Classic animation education for films and cartoons as you could do “acting with a pencil”

Game UI Artist (Unity 2D) *

Your tasks

• Design creative and playful user interfaces for our new and existing mobile and social game applications
• Create and refine 2DUI elements, graphics, and animations (e.g., menus, icons, buttons, typography, visuals, etc.)
• Integrate and animate UI assets directly in Unity
• Ensure the consistency of existing styles or co-create these for new games
• Work in close collaboration with other artists, UX, game designers, and developers
   

What we expect

• Background in art, design, digital media, or similar field
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in designing (mobile) 2DUI game screens and implementing them in Unity
• A strong portfolio showcasing mobile game interfaces
• Proficiency in Unity, especially in the area of UI integration and animation
• Skilled with Photoshop, Illustrator
• A good workflow in creating clean files that allow for fast iteration and the creation of final art assets
• A solid understanding of fundamental design principles, usability, flows, and UI design

Senior Game Developer (Unity / C#) *

As a Senior Game Developer (f/m/d*), you will actively help to shape an exciting area of our company and you will be one of the driving forces in the development of our mobile games. Together with members of our Product, Art, Backend, QA, Game Design and Marketing teams, you will create an awesome gaming experience for our players. 

The passion for creating high-quality games and the focus on a superior customer experience have made GameDuell one of the largest cross-platform games communities. Since 2003, more than 130 million players have played with us and we offer a broad portfolio of over 40 casual online skill games.

Your tasks

• Working on mobile skill games using Unity / C#
• Participation in all aspects of an interactive software development process, including design, estimation, build, testing, debugging, maintenance, and support to produce reusable and reliable code
• Supporting the test development cycle (e.g., unit and integration tests)
• Close collaboration with other team members from Product, Art, Infrastructure, Game Design, and Marketing to establish an effective production pipeline and integrate media assets
• Contribution to architectural decisions 

What we expect

• A successfully completed university degree in computer engineering, computer science, game development, or similar
• 5+ years of professional working experience with Unity on released mobile titles (Android, iOS)
• Expert knowledge in C#, including an excellent understanding of software architecture, design patterns, continuous integration, dependency injection, and unit testing
• Very good experience in most aspects of game development, such as UI/UX, gameplay, animation, AI, audio/video, and tools
• Passion about continuous learning and adapting to new technologies
• Fluent English is mandatory

Ideally, you should also bring along

• Experience with server-based game-logic implementation
• Practical knowledge about GCP and Firebase
• Very high sense of ownership for code quality that follows best practices
• Experience with release management and live operation of existing apps
• Knowledge of German is very welcome
